Dexma, a leading company in intelligent energy management tools for buildings, retail and industry, announced its transformation into Spacewell Energy. From now on, this new name will embody all the company’s projects, both in Spain and internationally.
Following its acquisition by the multinational Spacewell in 2020, Spacewell Energy aims to consolidate its position as a leader in efficient energy management in Europe, while seeking to expand its footprint in new international markets.
Spacewell Energy is a management tool that provides data-driven energy intelligence. Its SaaS solution enables facility and property managers, energy service providers and consultants to report on energy consumption, analyse usage patterns and inefficiencies, and detect anomalies in real-time. It helps businesses optimise the energy efficiency of their buildings and reduce carbon emissions.
Automated energy data management solutions are key to minimising the environmental footprint of organisations and building portfolios. Using artificial intelligence, the data generated by these tools can predict building behaviour, helping to reduce energy costs, monitor the use of natural resources and improve overall building performance.
Spacewell Energy, a response to the new challenges facing organisations
This new corporate name marks the completion of the integration process that began in 2020 when Dexma integrated Spacewell, a technology company that was part of the Nemetschek multinational. According to Xavi Novella, who has been appointed the company’s Managing Director: “The world, technology and the needs of organisations are changing, and at Spacewell Energy we want to respond to these new challenges, respecting the ground we have covered so far and looking to the future with optimism and the desire to continue growing”.
Towards extensive international deployment
With more than 10,000 customers in 35 different countries, mainly in the UK, Spain, France, Benelux and Italy, Spacewell Energy is experiencing significant growth in 2022, with sales of its software licences up by 24%. In order to strengthen relations with its international customers and drive growth, the company will remain based in Barcelona but will expand its international reach in Europe and beyond. This international expansion will involve recruiting new teams in the Benelux countries, the United States, France, Germany, India and the Nordic countries.
Technology at the service of energy efficiency
In an environment marked by inflation and rising energy prices, the solutions offered by Spacewell Energy make it possible to exploit data to produce detailed reports on energy consumption in real-time: any anomalies or inefficiencies, usage patterns, etc. Using this information, energy savings of up to 20% can be achieved.
More than 40% of Spacewell Energy’s employees are specialised in the design and development of energy management solutions. Every effort is made to support businesses and organisations in taking a more responsible approach to their energy consumption, which will result in savings and a reduction of their carbon footprint.
