Thunderbowl have partnered with Bowling Vision on a major refurb of its games offering to include Interactive Darts and state-of-the-art bowling tech.
The game of darts has been through a radical re-invention and Thunderbowl has brought this exciting gaming craze to Kettering. Interactive Darts is a teched up version of darts where groups of friends compete in fast-paced, competitively fun, darts-based games.
Thunderbowl has been a popular leisure destination, on the outskirts of the town centre, since the 80’s. However, as part of a recent renovation project Thunderbowl added interactive darts to their activity line-up.
The high-tech darts board detects where the dart lands, feeding the scoring information through to the large TV screen. So, all you have to do is upload your selfie, select your game and get throwing. No chalk boards, no arguing over the position of the dart – let the tech do all the hard work.
There are loads of brilliant games to choose from including Halve It; hit your gold segments and your score increases, fail and your score is halved! Or choose the ruthless game of Killer; gain Killer status and take aim at your friends’ segments to eliminate them!
Thunderbowl have set their Interactive Darts lanes into gorgeous wood panelled surrounds, so not only do you get to enjoy this truly modern gaming sensation, but you get the full London gaming bar experience.
As well as adding in interactive darts, Thunderbowl have invested in upgrades to their bowling. Working with local bowling distributor, Bowling Vision, they’ve replaced all their free fall pinsetters with the latest String Pin pinsetters – which are far superior and give a much better experience for customers. Plus, they’ve brought in a new, cutting-edge scoring system with incredible games options.
With Sync Scoring you can play a standard game of bowling or you can ramp up the fun by selecting an onscreen gaming format. Kids love bowling but they’ll love Sync scoring games even more. Plus, you can try different games each time you bowl, or come back to enjoy your family favourites.

Thunderbowl is operated by creative entrepreneurs Clair and Martin Rowland, who have been running the show since 2005. Clair said:
