Sandyford Properties Partners with IWG to Offer Coworking Space in Stoke

Sandyford Properties, a property group operating in the Midlands and north-west, has partnered up with global coworking pioneers International Workplace Group (IWG) to offer a state-of-the-art hybrid workspace at Alexander House in Stoke-on-Trent’s town centre.

This represents the second partnership between Sandyford and IWG, the parties having partnered on a site in Chester in 2022.

With sustained demand for hybrid work now being seen across office-based jobs, Sandyford Properties has adopted a strategy of partnering with coworking space experts, IWG, to maximise the offer to its customers.

Alexander House is a detached Grade II listed building in the cultural quarter of Hanley, the city centre of Stoke-on-Trent, which has now been repurposed as a coworking space. It is now likely to be the port of call for the hybrid working community of Staffordshire.

The investment to increase the offering available at Alexander House means that the building is now upgraded with new private offices, meeting rooms, coworking environments and creative spaces.

With this in mind, Sandyford Properties has now assigned the operational management of the space to IWG.

For IWG, this is a part of the drive to provide more leading facilities in a wide range of locations around the world. IWG has a range of experience in managing similar spaces, with over 3,500 locations in 120 countries and plans to expand by 1,000 locations by the end of 2023.

The partnership with IWG brings a wealth of knowledge, processes and leadership around the management of coworking spaces. This cements Alexander House as the leading coworking space in Hanley, Stoke-on-Trent and Staffordshire.

Paul Brindley, Managing Director of Sandyford Properties, said:

“This is the second site with which we have collaborated with IWG. Everyone here at Sandyford are impressed with IWG’s industry-leading systems and assets.

“We’re excited now to bring this flexible workspace area to our great city.”

On the partnership, Mark Dixon, CEO and Founder of International Workplace Group, said:

“We are establishing a stronger and much-needed footprint in Staffordshire with this latest opening. It is a proud moment to step into this partnership and we know that our management approach will provide a cutting-edge workspace at Alexander House.

The coworking space at Alexander House will open in the summer of 2023 to professionals in the city.
